Day 1 - 12th September 2008 - Sydney - Toronto

Depart Sydney to meet your international flight to Toronto.
Arrive into Toronto and meet your Tour Director and transfer to your downtown hotel for the next 3 nights.
Day 2 - 13th September 2008 - Toronto Free Day

Enjoy some free time to explore Toronto. Your Tour Director will be able to guide you towards your interests. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel, with your Tour Director and fellow travellers.
Day 3 - 14th September 2008 - Toronto - Niagara Falls - “Maid of the Mist” Boat Ride

Enjoy Niagara Falls, one of the world’s natural wonders. Visit the historic and beautifully preserved village of Niagara-on-the-Lake before enjoying your first, unforgettable glimpse of the falls. Board the “Maid of the Mist” boat for a thrilling ride to the foot of Horseshoe Falls. Enjoy some leisure time before returning to Toronto early this evening. The remainder of the evening is free to explore the city.

Day 4 - 15th September 2008 - CN Tower - Thousand Islands Cruise - Ottawa (HB,D) 
This morning we have breakfast at the top of the world's tallest building, the CN Tower. After breakfast enjoy a brief sightseeing tour of Toronto. Travel east along the shores of Lake Ontario to Kingston, the gateway to the beautiful Thousand Islands region of the St. Lawrence River. At Rockport cruise through the maze of the Thousand Islands, which mark the border between Canada and the United States. Continue through rolling farmlands, following the rivers and lakes to Canada’s national capital. Two Night Stay: Ottawa
Day 5 - 16th September 2008 - Ottawa

Following the Turtle Island First Nations experience on Victoria Island, we enjoy a tour of this lovely city. We view the Parliament Buildings, the residences of the Prime Minister and the Governor General, the Rideau Canal and much more. The afternoon is free for independent exploration of Ottawa.
Day 6 - 17th September 2008 - Ottawa to Quebec City

Drive into the French-Canadian province of Québec Enjoy the scenic drive along the "Chemin du Roy" (King's Road), the oldest roadway in Canada. Visit the famous Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre and see the thundering Montmorency Falls, which at 272 feet are higher than Niagara Falls. The historic "New France Route," takes you to Quebec City, the UNESCO World Heritage Site spectacularly perched atop Cap Diamant. French is the primary language in this unique city, founded in 1620 as a trading post.

Day 7 - 18th September 2008 - Quebec City

Enjoy a tour within the walls of the Vieux Carré (Old City) and visit Lower Town. This is truly a remarkable city, every building in Old Québec tells a story and every square exudes the spirit of New France with a history dating back many hundreds of years. This afternoon is at leisure to further explore this magnificent city on your own.
Day 8 - 19th September 2008 - Quebec Cityto Montreal

Leaving old-world Quebec, travel along the southern shore of the St. Lawrence River, heading for the quintessentially French city of Montreal, located on an island of the St. Lawrence River. On arrival, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, St Joseph’s Oratory, Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the city skyline from the parklands of Mt Royale. This afternoon is at leisure to explore this historic and vibrant city.

Day 9 - 20th September 2008 - Montreal

This morning farewell your Tour Director and transfer to the pier to board the Holland America Line ship “ms Maasdam”. Settle into your Guaranteed Oceanview Stateroom for the next 6 nights.
Day 10 - 21st September 2008 - Quebec City

Arrive into the beautiful French City of Quebec. Perhaps join a chore excursion to the Ste-Anne Canyon or visit a local winery.
Day 11 - 22nd September 2008 - Cruise Saguenay Fjord

Early this morning enter the delightful Saguenay Fjord, the largest fjord in North America and one of the most southerly in the world. Marvel at the imposing cliffs towering as high at 450 metres above you as you cruise the deep, icy waters of the fjord.
Day 12 - 23rd September 2008 - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

This morning arrive into the charming city of Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island. Plenty of free time to explore the city, famed for being the birthplace of Canada. Visit Confederation Centre or perhaps enjoy an optional tour to the “Anne of Green Gables” homesite. (Optional tours at own expense.)
Day 13 - 24th September 2008 - Cape Breton Island

Having cruised around the northern edge of Nova Scotia, arrive into the charming port of Sydney on Cape Breton Island this morning. Spend the day in Sydney or take an optional sightseeing tour. Perhaps tour the Cabot Trail around Cape Breton Highland National Park, visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum on Bras d’Or Lake or visit the magnificently restored, 17th century Fortress of Louisbourg. Day 14 - 25th September 2008 - Halifax, Nova Scotia

Arrive into Halifax this morning and spend the day docked in one of the world’s most beautiful natural harbours. Explore this fascinating and historic city on your own or perhaps take an optional tour to delightful Peggy’s Cove, perhaps the most photographed village in Canada. (Optional tours at own expense.)
Day 15 - 26th September 2008 - Bar Harbour, Maine

Enter the waters of the United States this morning as you sail along the coast of New Brunswick and past Grand Manan Island. Arrive into Bar Harbour, from where optional tours will be available into the beautiful Acadia National Park (at own expense.) This evening enjoy your final night onboard your ship as you sail towards Boston.
Day 16 - 27th September 2008 - Boston

HOW TO BOOK
Pay the appropriate deposit for your tour to globalTOURING. The balance is due 90 days prior to the departure date. When a booking is made less than 90 days prior to departure, full payment must be made at the time of booking. If you fail to pay by the due date, globalTOURING reserves the right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.
COSTS
Prices for any globalTOURING Group Tour are based on a minimum number of participants. If the minimum number is not reached, globalTOURING reserves the right to adjust the price of the tour or to change the departure date or to cancel until minimum tour numbers are filled. As all costs are negotiated in foreign currencies, globalTOURING cannot guarantee the tour price until full payment has been made. However, globalTOURING will endeavour to notify you or your travel agent if there is likely to be a price increase.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Notice of cancellation must be made through travel agent or direct to globalTOURING. There are no refunds for any unused part of your tour. If you wish to leave the tour early or participate in only a portion of the tour no refund can be made. If you cancel your place on the tour the following cancellation fees will apply:

TRAVEL INSURANCE
It is compulsory for all globalTOURING tour participants to have purchased comprehensive travel insurance. This can be arranged with globalTOURING.
SINGLE SUPPLEMENTS
globalTOURING will attempt to match single travellers with a person of similar age and sex. If this is not possible, a single supplement must be paid if you wish to participate in the tour.
ITINERARY VARIATIONS
Due to the nature of the tours offered by globalTOURING it may be necessary to make changes to our itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, government regulations, civil unrest, changes to airline schedules, etc. Every attempt will be made to adhere to the published itineraries but globalTOURING cannot guarantee that there will not be variations. Your tour price is based on a grouptravellingtogether for the duration of the tour. However, you may choose to return to your home port at a later date if the airline involved in transporting the group agrees to a variation in your return date.
